Steve Gilbert is the founder and executive director of the Latin America Employee Relations Group. He also serves as a Senior Advisor on Global Human Resources for the HR Policy Association. He has been responsible for Latin America HR activities for more than ten years, and was most recently the Sr. Director, Human Resources for Maersk Line while he was based in Panama, and also served as the head of Maersk’s Global Labour Relations Council. Steve was previously Vice President, Human Resources for the Americas for SCA Group and also for Messer Griesheim, a subsidiary of the former Hoechst.
Chief Operations and Communications Officer
Melissa Glatz is the Chief Operations and Communications Officer for LAMERG, managing the day-to-day activities of the association, its Web site and other communications, and coordinating member events. She has managed both the domestic and global labor relations training programs for HR Policy Association since 2007, as well as supporting HR Policy's membership engagement initiatives. Prior to joining HR Policy Association, Melissa contributed to the communications and community relations program for a top U.S. defense contractor.
Andres Carrillo researches opportunities to bring Latin American businesses into the network, tracks local media for topics of interest, and ensures that our materials and newsletters are available in Spanish. Andres currently lives in Bogota, Colombia. A recent graduate of the MBA program at University of Notre Dame, he most recently worked in Corporate Strategy and Business Intelligence in a major software company in the United States. Prior to this, Andres worked in corporate banking, financial planning, and both as a freelancer and an entrepreneur in a number of business operations.
