The annual LAMERG meeting in Miami promises to be an exciting and informative event for all attendees, and we are especially looking forward to the participation of Ruben Cortina, the President of UNI Global Union and a well-respected Argentinian labor leader, who will share his perspective of labor trends and events in the region during the Thursday portion of the program.
We will also have extensive discussion regarding the Mexico labor reforms arising from the USMCA, expert discussion about Chile in the post-Bachelet world, Brazil and the implications of newly-elected President Bolsonaro, and Argentina's prospects prior to their presidential elections in October, 2019. Other topics of timely interest will also included.
We will return to the DoubleTree in North Miami Beach with a special room rate and conditions for attendees. Meals, including dinner on Wednesday night, will be provided for attendees, and room charges will be the responsibility of the participants. The location is midway between the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports, and the latter is typically easier to navigate and usually has reduced airfares (especially from Brazil on Azul to FLL from Campinas)
Member companies may have up to three representatives attend at no cost, and additional individuals may be included for a modest fee to cover incremental expenses. Non-members may also attend for a cost of $1,000 per person, which can be paid on the lamerg.com site under the "Events" tab.
